Namaste

This is a steady 2 hour vinyasa practice incorporating alignment, flow and pranayama practice.

From January 2009 we will be changing the options for the podcasts, instead of a subscription service we will be offering each individual class to be downloaded. Therefore, you can choose which class you’d like to take and purchase it for your practice. We hope that this makes the podcasts more accessible to everyone! These can be bought at the e-store from January 2009…

In the meantime, keep the flow!

Well wishes and warm love

Hello everyone!

This class has a special focus on twisting as a means of not only detoxifying the body (especially the colon and stimulating the digestive system) but also for enabling greater movement, fluidity and grace in the torso - which is often an area of tightness and tension.

Om Shanti, peace to all

MAMA VINYASA YOGA

Calling all pregnant goddesses!

Mama Vinyasa TM is a style of flowing yoga devised and created by Claire Missingham in 2008.

Especially for pregnancy, this 20-min class is a flowing, graceful and grounding practice to enable you to feel gorgeous during your pregnancy. The session includes wide squats, cresent moon and horse stance, therefore, if you have any pelvic pain do not include these postures in this or any of your yoga practice for safety.

This class includes Mountain Goddess, which is a standing meditation on the strength and courage of all mamas out there!

Pulsation Meditation

Hello!

This is a quiet, music free, 10-minute meditation practice that focuses inwards on not only the breath but also the pulsation of prana from the core of the earth to core of the body. As we move towards Autumn, taking time to focus inwards is wonderful for continuing to feel vibrant and alive even with the darker evenings!

Warmness in abundance

Core Flame Namaskar

Jai Fire!

This Namaskar is all about connecting to the flame of the manipura chakra, of igniting strength from the core fire of the body, the essence of Shiva.

Within this namaskar, please refer to the Introduction to the Namaskars podcast as we use nearly all of the basics of the alignments from that post:

toward the end of the namaskar, you step one foot forward between the hands into LOW LUNGE, then 6 times the legs changing from low lunge to low lunge on the other side. Your aim here is to keep the hands on the earth in the tripod position, and elevate the hips as high as possible, almost to handstand. If you do this correctly your core will be on fire!

Get the fire burning…

all love and light
